Broughton has been participating in the Harris Teeter VIC card tie in program for 20 years. Because of our long standing participation in the program, our school was rewarded with several prizes to give away to people who have linked their VIC card for this year, since August 1.
The winner of the grand prize….. 4 tickets to see a Carolina Panthers home game was Meredith Newman, a current student at Broughton. Congratulations on winning a prize pack worth almost $400!! The winner of the autographed Panthers mini football helmet was Lillian Propst. And congratulations to our two teachers who each won $25 gift cards to Harris Teeter… Rebecca Davis, and Colleen Farris. The remaining $50 gift from Harris Teeter will be used to purchase Harris Teeter brand items to stock the food pantry for Broughton students who need help.
Many thanks to the generous donations from Harris Teeter, and don’t forget to link your VIC card for more contests in the future. We receive lists of eligible names from our regional coordinator to draw from for our contests.
Fun Facts: We currently have 397 links on code 1936 and have raised $578.94 since August.
There is actually NO LIMIT to what a school can earn. A school in Baltimore had over 1,000 links and earned almost $12,000 in one year.
If you have connections to folks that can link their cards to help raise money is this EASY way, please continue to pass on our school code: 1936. Especially to BHS alumni groups.
Thank you and don’t forget to link! Katy Schafer and Lora Grimes, Harris Teeter VIC coordinators for the BHS PTA
