The nomination window for our Broughton Capital Foundation's Jewell & Jenrette Teaching Excellence Awards is now open. The Richard Jenrette and Richard M. Jewell Teaching Excellence Awards are designed to promote, recognize and retain excellence in teaching at Broughton High School. These awards are presented to Broughton teachers/faculty who exhibit the highest caliber of the teaching profession. One Jenrette award will be presented for the 2018-2019 school year with a monetary value of $3,000 . Up to five Jewell awards will be presented for the 2018-2019 school year with a monetary value of $1,500 each.
Nominees must have been part of the Broughton faculty for a minimum of three years.
Teachers, Counselors and Media Specialist are eligible.
Principals and Assistant Principals are not eligible.
Any teacher currently holding a Jenrette or Jewell Teaching Excellence Award is not eligible.
Nominations may be made by current and former Broughton students, parents, faculty and staff, or individuals may self-nominate.
An individual may submit more than one nomination.
