A Message from Your PTSA Presidents, Lisa Ralls and Deb Finan
Broughton PTSA Welcomes You
Welcome to all new and returning Capitals! We look forward to an exciting 2018-2019 year and want to extend a special invitation to each and every family to get involved in the Broughton community. We find parents often want to know two key things about their PTSA: (1) How does the PTSA help the school and (2) How can I help?
How Does the PTSA Help Broughton?
Student Programs and Activities (Academic clubs, Reflections arts program, World Languages Night, Science Olympiad)
Teacher and Staff Support (Volunteer support, teacher start-up supply funds, academic program grants, teacher appreciation
Broughton’s strength is largely due to our strong network of involved families, friends and community. Broughton supporters volunteer time and provide funding for programs, classroom supplies, technology, and equipment. The PTSA looks to you to raise funds and recruit volunteers to make this all possible. Please consider volunteering your time, talents and resources to support our efforts on behalf of Broughton’s students and staff!
Join the PTSA (bhs.memberhub.storeor the enclosed Membership Form). PTSA meetings are scheduled for August 29, October 1, February 4, and May 6 at 6:00 pm in the Media Center. These meetings are a great way to hear from Principal Ashburn, committee chairs, and fellow parents.
Support our various fundraisers that fund all sorts of programs, grants, and technologies for Broughton students and faculty.
Get Involved: We have a number of PTSA committees including Hospitality, Community Advocacy, Building and Grounds, and many others that provide invaluable support for our students and staff. These opportunities are listed on the mailer Volunteer form and will be featured in future email communications.
Welcome to the Caps family and we look forward to serving you and our community. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or suggestions.
