Donate: The Class of 2020 will have lots of fun in the next three years, but we need your help. Upcoming events like Homecoming and the Sadie Hawkins Dance, as well as events in the future like prom and graduation depend on donations from families in our class. Support the Class of 2020 by donating. Online donations can be made at https://class-of-2020-donations.cheddarup.com. Or you can make a check out to “BHS Class of 2020” and mail it to our class treasurer, Suzanne Quirk at 1816 McDonald Lane, Raleigh 27608.
Stay Connected Class Emails: Stay informed about BHS and class activities through class emails. To sign up, contact Jennifer Doerfler at firstname.lastname@example.org and include your name and email address. If you signed up last year, you don’t need to again.
Parent Coffees: Parent meetings are the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 8:45 am at K&W Cafeteria in Cameron Village. Please note time and location change from last year. Parents discuss school and age-related issues, share great info with each other and get updates on class activities. First semester meetings include:
Wednesday, September 13 Raleigh Tutoring (PSAT/PLAN test-taking strategies)
Wednesday October 11
Wednesday, November 8
December - no meeting
Volunteer Homecoming: Thank you to Hannah Harvey’s family for hosting float-building again this year! We’ll work the weekends of Sept 9-10, Sept 16-17, Sept 23-24, and Sept 30-Oct 1. Come by and help our class build another great float! Watch class emails for more details on how to help. The homecoming assembly, parade and game will be Friday, October 6.
Sadie Hawkins Dance: Our class will host the dance on Saturday, November 4, so be sure all the sophomores make plans to attend! We’ll need help with decorating, set-up/clean-up, ticket sales, coat check, check-in and chaperones. Contact Katie Lyon at email@example.com to help.
Staff Appreciation: Each class donates part of the meal to host a lovely luncheon for the BHS staff in the spring. Contact one of our class’ chairs to help – Anne Mitchell firstname.lastname@example.org or Kristin Shook email@example.com.
Thank you We want to thank our Class Advisor, Erin Coonfer, for helping us get through our freshman year. We are excited that Elizabeth Sheehan will be joining her this year. We appreciate all your time, effort and support for the Class of 2020. We also want to thank parents who are chairing sophomore activities; volunteers are critical to successfully completing our class responsibilities each year. The sophomores have a fun year ahead, so don’t miss out!
