The Class of 2019 has a slam-packed year coming up! Thank you in advance to our advisors for the coming year -- Yohannes Kibret, Maria Childrey and Cami Burns -- for helping us!
GET INVOLVED Homecoming: We are SO grateful to the Liles family for allowing us to float-build at Rural Plumbing again. We’ll work the weekends of Sept. 8-9, Sept. 15-16, Sept. 23-24, and Sept. 30-Oct.1. We need ALL Juniors to come help create a first-place skit and float!
CAP-alooza Food Truck Rodeo: Switching things up for the Junior fundraiser, our class will host a food truck rodeo the afternoon of the homecoming parade and game. Our plan is to have five trucks parked along The Strip from 3:30-6:00 pm. No advance tickets necessary. Contact Maureen Bizyak email@example.com with questions.
Prom: We’ll need all hands to help decorate for and host a fantastic prom on April 21! A Sign-Up Genius will go out in late winter, but you can let any of the Parent Partners know if you'd like to help (especially with design and/or construction).
Senior Family Picnic: So families can enjoy some time together, the Junior class will provide manpower for the Senior Family Picnic on May 24. We’ll be looking for plenty of helpers to decorate, take tickets, serve, set up and clean up. Contact Lisa Ralls firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
Graduation Reception: The Juniors traditionally host an after-graduation reception for seniors and their families. If you're looking for a happy event to volunteer at, this is it! Graduation will be June 8. Contact Amanda Ramseur at email@example.com, Jennifer Doerfler at firstname.lastname@example.org, or Janey Hunter at Janey.email@example.com with questions.
STAY CONNECTED Class emails: If you haven't signed up already, contact Tish Hamilton at firstname.lastname@example.org, so you can keep up with everything going on with the Junior class and at BHS.
Parent Coffees: Parent meetings are generally the third Thursday of most months, 8:45 am, at St. John's Baptist Church, 1615 Oberlin Road. Parents discuss school- and age-related issues, share great info with each other, and get updates on class activities. First semester meetings will be: Wed. September 20 Thu. October 19 Thu. November 16 WCPSS staffer on wrong and right way to use social media.
As always, feel free to contact any of the Parent Partners with questions or suggestions about anything!
